Roll out of Bornheim and the pedals keep turning: past the Woogwiesen nature reserve, on through the Haderwiese, then the Böhler Bruch-Kandelwiese. The Ehemalige Allmende-Viehweiden Lachen-Speyerdorf nature reserve comes next, and after that the road swings back to Bornheim to close the loop. Seventy-six kilometres, almost all of it paved, with a touch of unpaved to keep things interesting. A gentle 242 metres of climbing spread across the whole route.
