Roll out of Schifferstadt and let the ride unfold: first the Haardtrand - Am Heidelberg nature reserve, then the Rehbachwiesen - Langwiesen reserve, before Schloß Deidesheim rises along the way. Onward past the Felsenberg-Berntal reserve and the ehemaliges von Hallbergsches Schloss, with the Sandgrube bei Schauernheim reserve rounding out the loop. It's 74.5 km, almost all on paved surface, and it brings you right back to where you started.
