Roll out of Lauterbourg and let the ride unfold: past the castle of Château Saint-Rémy d'Altenstadt, then on through the Lauterniederung and Bruchbach-Otterbachniederung nature reserves. Stixwörth and Kleines Altwasser follow, each one a nature reserve, before the route loops back to Lauterbourg. Along the way you climb 240 m across 69.2 km, most of it unpaved.
