The ride

Roll out of Wüstenrot and into the Naturpark Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald, then on past the Burgruine Steinheim castle. The route climbs through the Hohlwegrest by the Paul-Aldinger-Schule and the Schleifwiesen wetland, both nature reserves, before three castles follow: Affaltrach, Eschenau and Edelmannshof. A last nature reserve, the Weiher beim Ochsenhof, sits near the end. It's 91.5 km, almost all paved, with 1264 m of climbing, and it finishes back in Wüstenrot.
