The ride

From Greifenstein the route rolls out past the castle and onto mostly unpaved ground, with 985 m of climbing along the way. You pass the Erdbacher Höhlen and Wildweiberhäuschen nature reserves, then climb toward the Fuchskaute. After the Krombachtalsperre nature reserve come Beilstein castle and Burg Lichtenstein, before the loop returns to Greifenstein.
