Waterside between La Vire and La Taute

The ride

Roll out of Carentan-les-Marais and follow the La Taute and La Vire rivers before the Château de Neuilly-la-Forêt appears on your way. Further along, the L'Elle keeps you company as the route slips into the Parc naturel régional des Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin, a nature reserve well worth the detour. The Manoir de Mesnil-Vitey, another castle, marks the run back toward the start. It's 73.2 km on paved surface the whole way, with 363 m of climbing spread across the loop.
