Roll out of Saint-Lô and the road soon turns to dirt, with 54% of the route unpaved. You pass Château Sainte-Marie, then the Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin nature reserve, before following La Vire. Next comes the Cerisy forest nature reserve and the river L'Elle, and then it's back to Saint-Lô.
