Roll out of Bayonne for 68.6 km that loop back to where you began. Pass the Échauguette viewpoint, follow La Nive, and pedal by the Château-Vieux fort before the Marais d'Orx nature reserve opens up. Then it's on past the Ardanabie and L'Adour rivers to the Château-Neuf castle, with 308 m of climbing spread along the way. Almost all of it is paved, so the wheels keep turning from start to finish.
