The ride

Roll out of Gérgal and let the climbing begin: 1600 m of elevation gain awaits on this 54.7 km loop. The road is fully paved, and it carries you into the Paraje Natural del Desierto de Tabernas, a nature reserve that makes the middle of the ride feel like another world. From there you climb on to the Mirador La Merendera, a viewpoint that rewards the effort before the road turns you back toward home. Gérgal waits at the finish, right where you started.
