Rondje Wasserschloss en Wartberg bei Kirchberg

The ride

Roll out of Elbenberg and let the route unfold: first past the Wasserschloss castle, then on toward the Hute vor dem Bärenberg nature reserve. From there the way climbs over the Burghasunger Berg and the Leichenkopf bei Gleichen, both nature reserves, before the Wartberg bei Kirchberg sees you through to the finish back in Elbenberg. With 74.4 km and most of it unpaved, plus 1346 m of climbing, it's a steady day of turning legs and taking in the changing ground underfoot.
