Roll out of Bad Mergentheim and the castles start early: Burgruine Boxberg, then Burg Oberlauda, before the Tauber joins the ride. Schloss Grünsfeld and Schloss Messelhausen follow, and between Weikersheim and Elpersheim the Steinriegellandschaft nature reserve lines the way.
