Roll out of Hunden and back again on a 77.5 km loop that stays almost entirely paved. Soon you pass Stadtschloss Lüneburg, the castle, before the route threads through Hasenburger Bachtal and Bahlburger Bruch, two nature reserves in a row. Laßbrook follows, another nature reserve, then the Ilmenau-Luhe-Niederung. With 257 m of climbing spread across the day, the pedals keep turning gently from start to finish.
