Roll out of Eppingen on a 59.6 km loop that mixes paved and unpaved in equal measure. Past the Schlösschen and Burg Steinsberg castles, then on through the Feuchtgebiete am Ilvesbach nature reserve and the Steinbruch Kirchardter Berg nature reserve. Schloss Ehrstädt castle, the Bürgerwald forest and the Elsenz river follow before the road turns home. With 646 m of climbing, it's a day that keeps unfolding.
