The ride

Roll out of Stamsried past the castle and into the Oberpfälzer Wald nature reserve, then the Oberer Bayerischer Wald. Most of the 63.4 km is unpaved, climbing 1034 m through heath and forest east of Bodenwöhr and Bruck. A nature reserve at Neubäuer Weiher breaks up the ride before you head back to Stamsried.
