From Parkeerplaats Mittlere Horloffaue you roll out past the nature reserve An der Kühweide bei Steinheim, then on to Schloss Ortenberg and Burg Glauburg, castle after castle. The basalt quarry at Heegheim and the Mähried near Staden follow as nature reserves, before Schloß Bingenheim and Burg Rockenberg close the loop back to the start. Along the way: 87.1 km, 1038 m of climbing, and just a sliver of unpaved.
