Roll out from Parkeerplaats Eder and the road soon turns scenic: through the Auf der Struth nature reserve, on past the Auenwald and the Dollenbruch. Schloss Adolfsburg is a castle, the Rhein-Weser-Turm a viewpoint, and the Schwarzbachsystem another nature reserve. With 1163 m of climbing over 81.2 km, mostly paved, it's a loop that keeps giving. Back at Eder, legs earned their rest.
