The ride
Roll out of Lützenhardt and into the Naturpark Schwarzwald Mitte/Nord, then follow the Steinach and the Waldach on a route of 56.8 km. Most of it runs unpaved, so the going stays varied as you climb toward 1085 m of elevation gain. Past the Waldach- und Haiterbachtal nature reserve you reach Ruine Mandelberg, then Ruine Vörbach, two castles on the way. From there it's back to Lützenhardt to close the loop.
