The ride
Roll out from the Amphibienbiotope an der Hohen Warte and straight into the Ith nature reserve, then on through the Pöttchergrund and the Ithwiesen. Past Poppenburg castle the route turns for home, back to the Amphibienbiotope. It's 58.5 km with 1379 m of climbing, and most of it runs unpaved, so the gravel keeps things lively between the reserves.
