Roll out from Parkeerplaats Mittelgrund Helmlingen and straight into the nature reserve of the same name. Next up are Hinterwörth-Laast, another nature reserve, before the Lehrwald forest takes over. Then it's past Fort Blumenthal and through Rheinauewald Diersheim, one last nature reserve, before the loop closes back at the start. Of the 54.2 km, most runs unpaved, with 137 m of elevation along the way.
