From Thoissey you roll out past the river La Chalaronne and on to the Saône, then climb toward the castle at Corcelles-en-Beaujolais. The Roche de Solutré viewpoint and the castle of Saint-Léger follow, before the route drops past the Mauvaise and through the Île d'Ancelles forest. With 74.1 km and 1377 m of climbing, it's a loop that keeps giving, and it ends back where it began, in Thoissey.
