Rondje Castello Malaspina en Torrente Staffora

The ride

Roll out of Varzi and the road climbs straight into the hills, on a route that keeps its wheels on pavement the whole way. You pass Castello Malaspina, a castle, before dropping down to follow the Torrente Staffora, a river, and later the Torrente Grue, another river. With 1379 m of climbing spread across the day, it's a steady rhythm of up and down. Then the road brings you back to Varzi, where you started.
