The ride

Roll out of Piozzano and let the castles come to you: first the Castello di Seminò, then the Castello di Borgonovo Val Tidone, before the route drops to the Torrente Tidone river. Climb on to the Castello di Lisignano, then turn for home. The 74.7 km loop is fully paved, with 1194 m of climbing to keep the legs honest, and it ends back where it began in Piozzano.
