Roll out of Rastdorf and the Hümmling nature reserve opens the ride, with Bockholter Dose and Markatal following through 57.5 km of mixed terrain. Just under half the route runs unpaved, so the surface shifts as you go. The Quäckenberg-Gröneort wetlands near Neuvrees round out the nature reserves before the road turns back toward Rastdorf. With 142 m of climbing spread across the loop, it stays gentle from start to finish.
