Roll out of Mengen and let the ride unfold: past the Blochinger Sandwinkel nature reserve, then into the Naturpark Obere Donau. Climb on to the Ruine Hertenstein castle, drop through the Untere Au nature reserve, and wind back by the Riede und Gewässer bei Mengen und Pfullendorf. It's 60.0 km with 822 m of climbing, mostly unpaved, and it ends right back in Mengen.
