Roll out of Ellwangen and past the Ellwanger Schloßweiher nature reserve, then on to Schloss Adelmannsfelden and Pfannenburg, castle after castle. Between them come the Vogelfreistätte Walk- und Gaisweiher and the Birkenweiher with its Ober- and Unterholzweiher, both nature reserves. The Auweiher nature reserve rounds off the loop before the road brings you back to Ellwangen. Of the 91.8 km, a small share runs unpaved.
