The ride

Roll out of Châtel-Guyon and let the ride unfold: past the castle of Château, along the La Morge river, then by the Château fort. The route climbs into the Haut lieu tectonique Chaîne des Puys - faille de Limagne, a nature reserve, before continuing through the Réserve naturelle des Cheires et grottes de Volvic. With 83.8 km and 1122 m of climbing, most of it on paved surface, you loop through the Chaîne des Puys and back to where you started.
