The ride
Roll out of Malpartida de Cáceres and let the ride unfold: first along the Río Salor, then the Río Ayuela, before the route leads you through the Monumento Natural Los Barruecos nature reserve. Of the 62.7 km, almost all of it runs unpaved, with 420 m of climbing along the way. The rivers and the reserve come in that order, and then it's back to the village where you started. Keep the nature reserve for the middle of the ride — it's the stretch between the two rivers and home.
