The ride
From La Codosera the route rolls out and back again, with 52.5 km and 1113 m of climbing along the way. Most of it runs unpaved as you head into the Parque Natural da Serra de São Mamede, a nature reserve that sets the tone for the day. The line continues through the São Mamede reserve before reaching the Río Gévora, a river that rounds off the loop. Then it's back to where you started.
