The ride

Roll out of A Peroxa and the climbing begins early, with 1296 m of elevation gain waiting across the route. The road stays paved the whole way as you ride into the Reserva da Biosfera Ribeira Sacra e Serras do Oribio e Courel, a nature reserve that shapes the middle of the day. Later you pass ZEC Pena Veidosa, another nature reserve, before the road turns you back toward A Peroxa.
