The ride

Roll out of O Carballiño and the climbing starts early, with 1488 m of elevation gain spread across the day. The route runs past the ZEC Pena Veidosa nature reserve, then through the Ribeira Sacra e Serras do Oribio e Courel biosphere reserve. Later you pass the Pazo de Cornoces manor before the road turns you back toward home. Every metre is paved, so the surface stays consistent from start to finish.
