Climb between the castles of Solares

The ride

This 61.5 km loop rolls out of Solares and back again, mixing paved and unpaved riding with 2109 m of climbing along the way. Follow the Miera river out, then climb to the Torre de Alvarado castle before the road bends toward the Macizo de Peña Cabarga nature reserve. On the way home you pass the Palacio de los Cuetos castle and meet the Río Miera once more before rolling back into Solares.
