Castles along the Río Nela

The ride

Roll out of Villarcayo and follow the Nela, Trema and Trueba rivers before the route turns to stone: past the castle Torre de los Cantimplor and the manor Palacio de los Chiloeches. A second castle, Torre de las Herradoras, leads you on toward the nature reserve of Ojo Guareña. The 57.9 km loop is fully paved and gains 754 m, then brings you back to where you started.
