Roll out of Gunzenhausen and let the ride unfold: past Schloss Dürrenmungenau and Burg Wernfels, two castles on the way. Then it's nature reserve after nature reserve — the Igelsbachsee, the Altmühltal, the Steinerne Rinne and the Geopark Ries. Schloss Spielberg is your last castle before the road turns home. 94.6 km, almost all of it paved, with 1097 m of climbing to keep the legs honest.
