Castles between Cherveux and Romans

The ride

Roll out of Fressines and follow the route past the river Le Lambon before the castles begin: Coudray-Salbart, then Gazeau, then Cherveux. After the third castle the road meets the Chambon and the Ruisseau du Puits d'Enfer, and the Sèvre Niortaise carries you toward home. The full loop runs 76.7 km, entirely paved, with 829 m of climbing along the way. Back in Fressines, the castles are behind you and the rivers still ahead in memory.
