The ride

Roll out of Santa Palomba and the ride unfolds past the Decima Malafede nature reserve, then on to the fort at Pratica di Mare. Further along you pass the Laurentino - Acqua Acetosa nature reserve and the Forte Ostiense fort before reaching the Appia Antica nature reserve. Castello Savelli and the Palazzo Pontificio castles break up the run through the Castelli Romani nature reserve, all on paved surface with 816 m of climbing. Then it's back to Santa Palomba.
