Roll out of Ershausen and into the Eichsfelder Westerwald forest, then on through the Geo-Naturpark Frau-Holle-Land nature reserve. Two castles follow, Keudellsches Schloss and Schloss Wanfried, before the route brushes the Kiesteich unter der Aue'schen Kugel nature reserve. Past Wasserburg Aue castle and the Blaue Kuppe nature reserve, the road turns for home. It's 73.9 km, almost all paved, with 989 m of climbing along the way.
