Roll out from Parkeerplaats Sauertal and the climbing begins, on a route that stays fully paved the whole way. First up are the nature reserves Eselsbett und Schwarzes Bruch and Glasebruch, before Schloss Rhoden gives you a castle to aim at. Then it's on past the Büchenberg und Platzberg bei Hesperinghausen reserve and through Siebenbuchen, another nature reserve. With 1042 m of elevation gain across 75.2 km, you finish back where you started.
