The ride rolls out of Essenbach and back again, 70.1 km with 566 m of climbing. First up is Schloss Bruckberg, a castle, then Schloss Hohenthann, another castle, before Schloss Mirskofen, a third castle, rounds out the trio. The route is almost entirely paved, with just a sliver of unpaved along the way. Three castles, one loop, start and finish in the same village.
