Roll out of Neichen and let the ride unfold: past Schloss Döben, then Schloss Grimma, two castles in the opening stretch. The middle rolls by Schmielteich Polenz and into the Polenzwald, both nature reserves, before the climb to Wachtelberg-Mühlbachtal. Later come the Ruine Windmühle Dehnitz windmill and the Herrenhaus manor, then Dornreichenbacher Berg, another nature reserve, on the way home. Just over half the 71.2 km is unpaved, so expect a mix under your wheels.
