Roll out from Parkeerplaats Darmbachaue von Darmstadt and you're straight into the Darmbachaue nature reserve, then the Scheftheimer Wiesen and the Apfelbachdüne. Along the way you pass Schloss Braunshardt, the Teich am Braunshardter Tännchen nature reserve and the Ludwigsturm viewpoint. With 65.2 km and 332 m of climbing, most of it runs unpaved, so expect a mixed-surface loop that starts and finishes at the same car park.
