Rondje Parc naturel régional du Marais poitevin en La Vendée

The ride

From Fontenay-le-Comte you roll out toward the Marais poitevin nature reserve, then follow the Longèves, the Smagne and finally the Vendée river on the way back. The route runs 58.8 km, with roughly half on paved and half on unpaved surface. Along the rivers and through the reserve the kilometres tick by easily, and the 382 m of climbing is spread gently across the loop. You finish where you started, back in Fontenay-le-Comte.
