Roll out of Luçon and the Marais poitevin nature reserve opens the ride, with the estuary reserve and the Casse de la Belle Henriette following in turn. The 81.1 km route stays paved the whole way, and the climbing stays modest at 294 m. Past the Château de la Brunière, the road meets the river L'Yon before turning back to Luçon. Three nature reserves, a castle and a river, all in one loop.
