The ride

Roll out of Donnerskirchen and the route unfolds through the Naturpark Neusiedler See - Leithagebirge nature reserve, then follows the Wulka river onward. Next come the Fronwiesen und Kuhlacke nature reserve and a trio of castles — Schloss Seibersdorf, Mannersdorfer Schloss and Schloss der Gräfin Fuchs — with the Leitha river slipping in between. The 75.4 km loop is fully paved, and the 542 m of climbing keeps the legs honest before you roll back into Donnerskirchen.
