Roll out of Harkstede and let the windmills set the tone: De Hoop, De Boezemvriend and De Wachter pass by in a row. Then it's on to Laarwoud castle before the green takes over, through Vijftig Bunder, Noordlaarderbos, Vosbergen and Landgoed De Braak. Of the 94.5 km, nearly all is paved, with a sliver of unpaved to keep you honest. Back to Harkstede you roll, windmills behind you.
