Roll out from Parkeerplaats Algemene Veen and the windmills come first: De Fortuin, then De Vlijt and De Wielewaal, with the Algemene Veen nature reserve in between. On 92,3 km of paved surface you climb just 146 m, so the windmills keep coming easily. The route then slips through the Klarenbreek nature reserve and past Klarenbeek manor before the Reevediep nature reserve and the Uiterwaarden Zwarte Water en Vecht. It ends back at Parkeerplaats Algemene Veen.
