The route runs through the Isarauen nature reserve, then the Isarauen zwischen Schäftlarn und Bad Tölz, before swinging past the Habichau nature reserve. With 1244 m of climbing and a mostly unpaved surface, it keeps you honest all the way back to the Hechenberger Leite nature reserve and the finish.
