The ride

This loop of 72.3 km starts and finishes in Péronne, heading out past the Historial de la Grande Guerre castle before following the Cologne and Somme rivers. The route stays paved the whole way, with 430 m of climbing spread across the ride. You roll on beside the Canal du Nord before turning back to Péronne. Rivers, a canal and a castle, all in one spin from the start village.
