Roll out of Ahlen and let the ride unfold: 77.9 km with 262 m of climbing, mostly paved but with a healthy stretch of unpaved. You pass the Haarener Lippeaue nature reserve, then Mühlenlaar nature reserve, before rolling through the Oberwerrieser Mersch nature reserve. The Lippeaue zwischen Schloss Oberwerries und Dolberg nature reserve rounds out the green corridor, and then it's back to Ahlen.
