Roll out of Alvesen and the route soon trades pavement for dirt, with most of the 62.0 km running unpaved. You pass through Fischbeker Heide, then the Buchenwälder im Rosengarten, both nature reserves, before the Naturpark Lüneburger Heide opens up. Next come the Büsenbachtal und Wörmer Wälder, another nature reserve, and the watermill Seppenser Mühle. Then it's back to Alvesen, 422 m of climbing in the legs.
