The ride

Roll out of Detmold and past the Fürstliches Residenzschloss, then into the Beller Holz nature reserve. Onward to Wasserschloß Vinsebeck, another castle, before the Eggeosthang mit Lippischer Velmerstot nature reserve and the Egge-Nord reserve. The Externsteine nature reserve comes next, then it's back to Detmold. Just under 60 km, roughly half unpaved, with 949 m of climbing.
